Hike report - 1975

As usual, plans were made for a Winter Hike, but unfortunately this turned into rather a farce.

Although Peter and Graham managed to negotiate their way to the South Coast with all the gear, both Phil and Laurie missed the train.

What made things worse was the fact that they did not even try to make the journey later.

Despite the immediate problem a campsite was found and up went both the tents.

After breakfast the next morning it was decided that there was really no way for the hike to continue – the weight of all the gear divided between two people instead of four, would have been unbearable.

So, after packing up we made the return journey to the station, taking a few photographs en route.

A poor show, and one hike that should really have been forgotten.
